Die Wand

🇬🇧 The Wall by Marlen Haushofer (1963) is a haunting novel about a woman suddenly cut off from the world by an invisible wall. In a remote hunting lodge in the Austrian Alps, she must survive, with only a dog, a cow and a cat as companions. A poignant story of loneliness and resilience

I designed the cover as a trompe-l’oeil: when the book is on the table, it looks like there is a hole in it where the woman is. The hole is a circle, but you look into it at an angle. To create this effect, I adjusted the perspective with a 3D program.
